  Our products are dispatched from our central European warehouse and delivered 'door to door' direct to the customers shipping address.  Joliet LED light bulbs are carefully protected by a moulded foam cushion and then individually packed in card outer box.

  Switching to LED

  High power LED light bulbs are more expensive than other types of light bulb but they are designed last for up to 50,000 hours, that’s more than ten years, so the initial cost is easily made up for.

  The cost of switching to LED can be spread by replacing old bulbs as they blow. Most conventional light bulbs only last about twelve months so the total cost is likely to be spread over at least a year.  LED lights require zero maintenance and will not need to be replaced for a decade. 

  Energy saving CFLs

  LED lighting advances have been overshadowed by ‘curly’ compact fluorescent light bulbs as an alternative to the power hungry, soon to be outlawed, incandescent light bulb. Recent concerns over the safe disposal of CFL bulbs and international pressure to conserve the environment has resulted in government level promotion of LED as the future of lighting.

  Many ‘energy saving’ light bulbs are routinely criticised for providing poor brightness levels and light colour. The ‘flickering’ nature of some fluorescent lights has adverse effects in a work environment. High power LED provides a true ‘white’ light that is extremely close to natural daylight. High power LED lights are available in ‘cool white’ and ‘warm white’ colours.

  Unlike many light bulbs high power LED lights do not contain harmful chemicals, are safe to handle and can be recycled.

  • What are the energy savings?

    As world wide energy resources dwindle and power costs continue to increase the case for alternative, energy efficient lighting has never been stronger. High power LED lights consume at least two thirds less electricity than conventional light bulbs whilst offering the same brightness.

  • What is the life expectancy of a LED light bulb

    Operating for an average of 10 hours per day LED has a life span of up to 13 years, 50,000 hours. Unlike traditional light bulbs LED is not fragile and susceptible to breakage or vandalism.

  • Do LED lights illuminate the same area as other lamps?

    Highly focused LED optical system provides a regular rectangular beam pattern with uniform brightness, reducing dark patches and light loss between light sources.

The latest high power LED technology is now available in simple easy to install light bulbs for home or commercial lighting applications. LED replacement light bulbs are available in 'warm white' or 'pure white' colours and are designed to fit most existing lamp holders.

LED light bulbs offer up to two thirds savings in electricity costs compared to incandescent light bulbs and are designed to last around ten years.

LED NEWS - INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS OUTLAWED - The European Union pulled the plug on the traditional light bulb yesterday when it agreed to start banning them within a year. The fade-out, to make way for energy-efficient bulbs, could begin as early as September with a ban on the 100-watt bulb, EU experts agreed in Brussels. LED is the future of energy efficient lighting       

LOW ENERGY LIGHT BULBS (fluorescent curly tube type) DANGER - Official advice from the Department of the Environment states that if a low-energy bulb is smashed, the room needs to be vacated for at least 15 minutes. The Environment Agency has called for more information to be made available on the health and environmental risks posed by low-energy light bulbs. It says because the bulbs contain small amounts of mercury, more information about safe recycling is needed.
It also wants health warnings printed on packaging and information on how to clear up smashed bulbs in the home. Source BBC News, Jan 2009.
